Emergency works are being carried out by the ‘Kari Hege’ Captained by Tristan Roberts in the Inner harbour due to the continuing strong south westerly winds.
The adverse weather conditions have caused a build up of sand in the channel north and south of the sluice. These obstructions/hazards are being removed and the erosion to the toe of the bank is being repaired where possible. These works should be completed within a few days weather permitting. Vessels are advised to keep clear of this area while work is taking place.
